Register for Summer 2021 at Camp Keff!

Registration begins Monday, February 1, 2021 for PJCC Center and Community Members and returning Summer 2019 and 2020 campers. Registration begins Thursday, February 11, 2021 for the general public.

When space is full, campers will be placed on a waitlist in the order applications were received, with current PJCC Center Members receiving priority, followed by current Community Members. Campers may not be enrolled in multiple programs with the same or overlapping program dates.

Preschool camp registration is open to current PJCC Preschoolers and Preschoolers enrolled in the 2021-2022 school year only.  Families may complete summer registration pending acceptance to the PJCC Preschool.  Families who decline, defer, or withdraw from the 2021-2022 school year at the PJCC Preschool will be automatically withdrawn from the summer program and forfeit any non-refundable deposit.

Registration takes place in MyPJCC, the PJCC’s registration site. This may be a new process for some summer camp families, so we have provided the following information to assist you in the registration process:

Current PJCC Center and Community Members and returning Summer 2019 and 2020 campers receive priority registration for Camp KeffOne adult from your household must have a current membership at the time of registration and remain current through the camp sessions they are registered for in order to receive member rates. Priority online camp registration starts Monday, February 1, 2021. Those eligible for priority registration will receive an email with the link to our online registration system before the link becomes public.

Campers who register by 6:00 pm on Monday, March 22, 2021 will automatically get the early bird discount of up to $50 off per week, depending on camper registration. All registrations completed after 6:00 pm on Monday, March 22, 2021 will be at full price. Families who enroll in more than one session of camp (either multiple sessions per child, or sessions for multiple children in the household), will receive a $100 discount on each session they are enrolled in.

  • Payment of $300 per session is due upon registration. Payment is due in full at the time of registration for any additional financial options. The remaining camp fees will be split into equal monthly payments, with the final payment due by June 1, 2021.
  • $150 per camp session is considered a non-refundable deposit.
  • Deposit payments hold your space in camp until June 1, 2021.
  • Registration forms received after June 1, 2021 must include full payment for all programs.
  • Payment is due in full on June 1, 2021. Campers with unpaid balances will automatically be placed on a waitlist on June 2, 2021.
  • Session changes are dependent upon space availability.
  • There are no refunds after June 1, 2021. 
  • There will be no reduction or refund of fees for camp programs because of absence, illness, required quarantine, suspension/expulsion or withdrawal due to changes in family circumstances during camp sessions. 
  • No partial enrollment or proration is available. 
  • $150 per camp session per camper is considered a non-refundable deposit. 
  • Please allow up to 3 weeks for refunds to be processed. 
  • All requests for refunds must be received in writing to camps@pjcc.org by June 1, 2021. 

The PJCC is proud to provide financial assistance to families with financial need. Adjustments are based on financial need and budgetary considerations and require a separate application. To apply please indicate your interest during the registration process and we will email you the financial aid application. Additionally, a $300 deposit per child is still required during registration. Priority will be given to qualifying applications received before March 26, 2021. Financial assistance does not apply to SchoolFoodiesSubmitting a financial assistance application is not a guarantee of financial assistance.  

There will be no camp offered on Monday, July 5, 2021 due to the Independence Day holiday. 

Unless otherwise specified in writing, you grant permission to Peninsula JCC, including the Camp Keff program, its agents, and its employees the irrevocable and unrestricted right to take, use, copyright and produce photographs and videos taken of your child, yourself, and members of your family while participating in PJCC and Camp Keff activities for any lawful purpose including print and/or electronic publication, promotion, social media, Web content, illustration, advertising, trade, or historical archive in any manner or in any medium. You hereby release PJCC and its legal representatives from liability for any violation or claims relating to said images or videos. Furthermore, you grant permission to use the statements of your child, yourself, and members of your family given during an interview or evaluation with or without your name for the purpose of advertising and publicity without restriction to time limit or geographic area. You waive your right, your child’s rights, and your family’s rights to any and all compensation stemming from the use of these materials.  

Save time every morning by having our friends at SchoolFoodies prepare a variety of delicious meals for your child. Each day lunch is packaged and delivered directly to your child. Registration details will be provided in the parent packet, which will be distributed in May 2021 

  • Programs are subject to cancellation based on camper enrollment. Programs may be changed. 
  • Late Pick Up – If your child is not picked up at the pick-up time you registered for, a late fee will be assessed. If a child is not picked up at their designated pick-up time, they will be charged according to the following scale:
    1-20 minutes…$20
    21-30 minutes…$40
    31-60 minutes…$80
    Campers that are continually picked up late may be removed from the camp program. 
  • In May you will receive a parent packet via email with additional information and camp policies. 

Grades K – 12 camp programs are accredited by the ACA. This ensures the highest quality programs and safety for your camper. For more information regarding ACA and the accreditation process, please visit the ACA website. 

At the Peninsula Jewish Community Center, we are committed to respecting your privacy and recognize your need for appropriate protection and management of any personal information you share with us. We have established this formal Privacy Policy so that you may understand the care with which we intend to treat any of your private information.

We will never sell your information. We may share your information with our partner agencies. You may opt-out of sharing by emailing info@pjcc.org.

Choice
You may visit our website without telling us who you are or revealing any personally identifiable information about yourself. If, however, you choose to request information, use our services, or visit our facilities, certain relevant information will be collected. We will also require visitors to the PJCC facility to provide identification.

As a member of the Center or a participant in our programs, you will need to provide basic contact and financial information. This contact information may be used to keep you informed about happenings at the Center. We respect your information and will use discretion to contact you as appropriate in connection to your membership and participation.

As stated above, you may visit the PJCC website without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. We do track anonymous information about the use of our website, such as page views and browser types. We use this information to ensure that the website is providing a quality experience and delivering appropriate information for our community. We do not make any association between this information and a visitor’s identity.

Security
Wherever the PJCC, our employees, volunteers, or contractors hold your personal information, we take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect your personal information. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure of your information, the PJCC has implemented specific business policies and industry best practices specific to both the website and the operation as a whole. We cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information, but we strive to use the best available procedures and practices to protect your private information.

Your Consent
By using this website, becoming a member of the PJCC, or participating in Center programs, you consent to our Privacy Policy and to our use of your information for the purposes discussed above or in other areas where information is collected. The PJCC reserves the right to change this policy. Should our policy change, we will ensure changes or updates are available publicly on our website.

Liability Waiver

Section 1. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability The undersigned, for him and/or herself and on behalf of his and/or her minor children, if any (collectively, the “Users”), acknowledges that, prior to engaging in any activity in or about PJCC or sponsored by PJCC, the Users have been advised to consult with and receive the approval of a physician. The Users understand that activities involve risk of injury. The Users agree that they are entering upon and using the facilities and services of PJCC, or participating in PJCC sponsored activities, at their own risk, and the Users hereby assume the risk of injury. This agreement and assumption is a pre-condition to PJCC permitting the Users to enter onto or use PJCC’s facilities or to participate in PJCC sponsored activities.  PJCC and its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable and Users hereby expressly release and waive any claim of liability and agree not to sue any of the foregoing parties for bodily injury that occurs to any of the Users, or any guest of any User, or for any loss of or injury to the property of any of the Users or such guest, unless same arises from the gross negligence of PJCC. This release and waiver includes, but is not limited to any loss of or damage to the property of any User or such guest and is intended to be a complete release of any responsibility for personal injuries and/or property loss or damage sustained by any User or any such guest while at the PJCC premises or while participating in PJCC sponsored activities, unless same arises from the gross negligence of PJCC.  Notwithstanding the foregoing, this instrument shall not act to release PJCC from liability to the extent applicable law provides that such a release would be contrary to public policy.

Section 2. Insurance It is the responsibility of every user, or his/her parent or legal guardian to provide his/her own accident and health coverage while participating in all PJCC activities. the PJCC does not provide any accident or health coverage for its members or guests.

Section 3. Arbitration The undersigned agree to resolve any and all claims, disputes or controversies arising out of or relating to usage of PJCC exclusively by final and binding arbitration using the American Arbitration Association’s (AAA) Commercial Arbitration Rules. This includes, but is not limited to, claims related to fee disputes, personal injury and any other claim which may be asserted under the law of contract and/or law of tort and/or asserting a public policy or Constitutional claim. The laws of the State of California shall govern the dispute, and arbitration shall be conducted in San Francisco, California.

Section 4. Indemnification The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless the PJCC, and each of their agents, officers, directors, attorneys and employees from any claim, action or proceeding (collectively referred to as “proceeding”) brought in any jurisdiction against any of the foregoing persons resulting from any action by the undersigned, their child or guest, whether by negligence or otherwise, while at the PJCC facilities or while participating in PJCC sponsored activities. This indemnification shall include, but not be limited to, any damages, fees and/or costs awarded against PJCC and their parties, or any of the foregoing categories of persons, and costs of suit, attorney’s fees, and any other costs, liabilities and expenses incurred in connection with such proceeding whether incurred by the undersigned/minor children, PJCC and/or any other person defending such proceeding. The undersigned shall further indemnify PJCC and their parties for all costs, fees and damages which PJCC and their parties may incur in enforcing this indemnification provision.  Modifications or additions to the pre-printed terms of this Agreement, other than the completion of existing blanks, are unauthorized and will not be honored by PJCC.

Section 5. Photography Unless otherwise specified in writing, I grant permission to Peninsula JCC, including the Camp Keff program, its agents, and its employees the irrevocable and unrestricted right to take, use, copyright and produce photographs and videos taken of my child, myself, and members of my family while participating in PJCC and Camp Keff activities  for any lawful purpose including print and/or electronic publication, promotion, social media, Web content,  illustration, advertising, trade, or historical archive in any manner or in any medium. I hereby release PJCC and its legal representatives from liability for any violation or claims relating to said images or videos. Furthermore, I grant permission to use the statements of my child, myself, or my family members given during an interview or evaluation with or without my name for the purpose of advertising and publicity without restriction to time limit or geographic area. I waive my right, my child’s rights, and my family’s rights to any and all compensation stemming from the use of these materials.

Section 6. Authorization The undersigned acknowledge that they have carefully read this Agreement and fully understand its contents. The undersigned also acknowledges that the parent packet that describes the participant’s programmatic conditions and expectations will be provided at or before the start of camp and is included in this medical/liability release by reference. The undersigned are aware that this is a release of liability and a contract between the undersigned minor child and PJCC and/or its affiliated organizations and sign it voluntarily. This Agreement shall remain in full force and effect until PJCC receives written revocation executed by the undersigned. Programs are subject to cancellation based on camper enrollment. Programs may be changed.

Section 7. Emergency Treatment & Release Waiver Unless otherwise specified in writing, my child has permission to participate in all camp-sponsored activities including swimming and field trips. I also authorize the PJCC to obtain emergency medical and dental treatment if I cannot be reached in an emergency.

PJCC Technology Cart Acceptable User Agreement

Purpose

The Peninsula Jewish Community Center (PJCC) provides program participants (users: children, adults, and staff) access to its information technology (IT) resources via the Technology Cart such as computer hardware and internet access. Every user (or his/her parents/guardians in the case of minors) must sign this Acceptable User Agreement (AUA) before they are given access to technology resources. By signing this agreement, the signee (or his/her parents/guardians in the case of minors) agrees to follow the rules set forth in the AUA and to immediately report any misuse of resources to a PJCC staff member. Parties agreeing to this policy also understand that the PJCC may revise the AUA as it deems necessary without prior notice.

I understand the following guidelines, terms, and conditions for the use of the Technology Cart equipment (including but not limited to MacBook Air, iPad, and other equipment included in the Cart) at the PJCC:

  1. Technology access, primarily for but not limited to computer use and internet access is a privilege, not a right. Access entails responsibility. Users are individually responsible for his/her behavior when using technology resources provided by the PJCC.
  2. Users are expected to follow all program rules and Technology Cart rules (to be introduced and reviewed in each program) and all federal, state, and local laws (including copyright laws) when using technology resources.
  3. Technology resources are to be used for educational purposes only. Users may not use technology resources for commercial, recreational, personal, or illegal activities. Users willfully accept that all information sent from, received by, or stored on PJCC technology resources is the property of the PJCC and is not and should not be considered private or confidential for the user.
  4. Users are prohibited from improper use or distribution of sensitive or personal information.
  5. Users are expected to use technology resources with utmost care and respect. Dangerous, negligent, or malicious usage of resources will not be tolerated. Users are financially responsible for any damage (not reasonable wear and tear), deliberate or accidental, caused to equipment while in use by the user.
  6. Should there be any type of malfunction of the equipment or its components, the user will immediately seek out a PJCC staff member and identify any malfunctions.

Violations of these guidelines, terms and conditions are unacceptable and may result in loss of program access and privileges, use of equipment may be revoked, suspension from the program, early withdrawal from the program with no refund of any kind and/or other disciplinary action deemed necessary by PJCC staff responsible for the Technology Cart program.

The undersigned agrees to all of the items noted in the Registration Policies, Liability Waiver, and Technology Cart User Agreement.
